Heart pounding, razor spine
This velvet dream, axe to grind
This deadly thrill, sins entwine
This fading grasp, sands of time
Grinding fist, power rage
These wings of steel, break the chains
These fearless souls, feed the flames
This blinding light still remains
Terror lightning ripping the skies
Havoc thunder, the hammer will rise
The darkest knight brings the darkest dawn
Reach the point of no return
Stand up, face to face, we burn
Unleash, fire and flames alight
Full force. STRIKE!
WE FIGHT THE NIGHT!
Glimmer of hope, stand up for all you believe
The righteous path, die on your feet don’t live on your knees
Trail of destruction, seals your fate, no retreat
Open the gates, straight outta hell, feel the heat
Twist of fate, fire and ice
This quest for steel, your demise
This final stand, ride the flame
This heart of truth, forged in pain
Darkest hour, dead of night
This inner fire, stand and fight
These nerves of steel from dusk till dawn
This brave new world ripped and torn
Divide, conquer, for one, for all in victory
We stand, we fight, as one relentlessly
Divide, conquer, for all in victory
We stand, we fight, as one we FIGHT THE NIGHT!
Final stand, no remorse
This molten metal, blazing force
This call to arms, we arise
SPEED DEATH DOOM RIDE, STRAIGHT OUT OF HELL!
Dead light stars, two worlds collide
Souls consumed, vaporise
This cold blind rage, fire unleased
We fight the night...
To survive the havoc thunder sky
Survive the night
Survive the death doom terror ride
Survive the night

If Elric had a soundtrack it would be this. It's everything you want from a epic metal album. Like a hot poker in the eye, but in a good way. Scott Malthouse

So I can't leave a long enough review to say everything I want. But I will say this, I love this EP. It's a great little follow up to times, and has just enough of a dynamic shift in sound to prove that Smoulder isn't a one trick pony with their first album's formula. This one really plays up the 70s prog aspects (DUST and Manilla Road influences definitely shine through even harder here). It's still Smoulder, don't get me wrong. Just a different side in some ways, all of which are good. playfulpooka
